The award for Excellence in sustainability focuses on one specific steel construction related sustainability solution and/or activity which has made a positive impact or has provided benefits in all three areas of sustainability (economic, environmental, and social) and that has contributed to the improved sustainability performance of the company, the community in which it operates, or the construction industry at large during 2024.

Examples and outcomes of such an initiative could include:

  • Community initiatives that provide environmental benefits and/or educational opportunities, promote economic growth, and/or improves stakeholder relationships with the company.
  • Influencing or changing regulations or standards that affect the sustainability of the construction industry.
  • Improved sustainability brand reputation of the steel construction industry and/or steel products to increase trust and openness of our stakeholders to facilitate growth.
