  • The El-Ferdan Railway Swing Bridge, located in Egypt’s Ismailia Governorate, spans the iconic Suez Canal and connects the continents of Asia and Africa. It plays a strategic role in China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Belt development.
  • Completed in 2023, the new structure is the world’s largest and highest load-bearing double-track railway swing bridge. It significantly enhances freight and passenger transport capacity across the canal.
