Quay Quarter Tower involves the upcycling of the original AMP Centre which was completed in 1976 and was a concrete framed structure of 50 stories over 187 m. The original concrete core was preserved and by using composite columns, beams and slabs, the building was more than doubled in floor area from 45,000 to 102,000 m2.
